Volunteering
Most of the programs and events that FAC sponsors are coordinated by volunteers who provide the leadership and planning that every event requires. Countless additional volunteers assist our coordinators by door-sitting, supervising refreshments, decorating, setting up equipment, maintaining FAC’s recorded music collections, teaching, programming, running recorded music, cleaning up, helping with publicity, and all the other specific tasks.
Volunteers also serve on FAC’s Board of Directors and Program Committee and provide office support services such as helping with mailings, computer maintenance, music shop sales, and special projects.
Professional services donated by our friends are equally important to FAC’s programs. These services include providing live music at occasional weekly dances, bookkeeping, website and web calendar design and maintenance, and editing and producing FAC’s newsletter, printed calendar, and fliers.
