Directions to Pinewoods Camp, 80 Cornish Field Road, Plymouth, Massachusetts

1. Driving directions to Pinewoods
Parking is limited at Pinewoods Camp; please carpool if possible. Allow extra time for rush hour and weekend travel. In consideration of Pinewoods’ neighbors, please use the Halfway Pond Road approach to camp as described below. You may download a printable PDF version of the driving directions.
From the Boston, MA area (1-1.5 hours):
Take Route 3 South to Exit 3: Clark Road, Long Pond (7.3 miles south of the Route 44 and Plymouth exit).
Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Clark Road; continue .2 mile to the stop sign.
Turn left onto Long Pond Road; go 1.7 miles to Halfway Pond Road on the right.
Turn right onto Halfway Pond Road; go .8 mile (past a small white church on the left).
Take the next right onto West Long Pond Road (a wide dirt road); go .5 mile to Cornish Field Road on the right (across from a group of mailboxes). On the right, shortly before Cornish Field Road, there is a small wood “Pinewoods” sign, above a small “Conant” sign, high up on a tall tree stump.
Turn right onto Cornish Field Road (a narrow dirt road); continue .3 mile into camp.
From west of Boston:
Take the Mass Pike East (I-90) to I-495. Take I-495 South to Exit 6: Route 44 East.
Take Route 44 East to Route 3 South,
then follow the directions above from Boston to Pinewoods.
From the New York City area to Route 25 East (4-5 hours):
Take I-84 North, or the Parkways and I-91 North, to Hartford. Continue on I-84 North to the Mass Pike (I-90).
Take the Mass Pike East to I-495. Take I-495 South to Exit 6: Route 44 East.
Take Route 44 East to Route 3 South,
then follow the directions above from Boston to Pinewoods.
or:
Take I-95 North to I-195 at Providence. Take I-195 East to Exit 22A: Route 25 East,
then follow the directions below from Route 25 to Pinewoods.
From Route 25:
Take Route 25 East toward Cape Cod to Exit 2: Onset/Wareham (formerly Exit 1).
Bear right at the top of the ramp. Follow Routes 6 and 28 East for 2.6 miles.
Just before the 7-11 convenience store (on your left), turn left onto Head of the Bay Road; go 2.2 miles.
Turn left onto Plymouth Lane, which becomes Bourne Road after 1 mile; go 6 miles to the end of the road.
Turn left onto Halfway Pond Road.
Take the next right onto West Long Pond Road (a wide dirt road); go .5 mile to Cornish Field Road on the right (across from a group of mailboxes). On the right, shortly before Cornish Field Road, there is a small wood “Pinewoods” sign, above a small “Conant” sign, high up on a tall tree stump.
Turn right onto Cornish Field Road (a narrow dirt road); continue .3 mile into camp.

2. Public transportation to Pinewoods
All fares are subject to change. Have driving directions handy for taxi/coach drivers. You may download a printable PDF version of the driving directions. The suggested arrival time at Logan Airport is noon-3 pm; at Plymouth or Bourne/Buzzards Bay, 3-4 pm; and at camp, 3-6 pm.
Buses from New York City and Providence, RI to Bourne are run by Peter Pan/Bonanza Bus Lines, 888-751-8800, for about $53 (from NY Port Authority) or $19 (from T. F. Green Airport, Providence). Take a taxi from the Bourne bus stop to camp.
Buses from Boston to Plymouth are run by Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company, 508-746-0378. The express bus from South Station Transportation Center or Logan Airport (all terminals) to the Plymouth Bus Terminal at Exit 5 off Route 3 takes about 1.25 hour and costs $12 (from South Station) or $17 (from Logan). Take a taxi from the bus terminal to camp.
Trains from Boston are run by the MBTA, 800-392-6100, from South Station to Plymouth or Kingston for $5. The Plymouth and Kingston stations are equally convenient to Pinewoods by taxi.
Taxi cabs from bus or train stations to camp are available. Because the local taxi company vehicle fleets are very small, it is best to reserve your taxi two or more days in advance.
