FAC’s dance space at the Concord Scout House is located at 74 Walden Street, Concord Center, Concord, MA, beside a large white church and diagonally across from the FOPAC building. The Scout House is set back about 100 feet from the street. Please do not park in the church lot. Parking is available on nearby streets and in the public lot behind the Post Office, accessed from Walden Street by the alley between Hubbard and Main Streets.
By commuter rail from Boston and western suburbs:
The MBTA Commuter Rail Fitchburg Line leaves Boston from North Station with stops in Cambridge, Belmont, Waltham, Lincoln, and Concord. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the Concord train station to the Scout House.
If you are driving from the Cambridge/Arlington area or from Route 128 (I-95):
Take Route 2 West to Concord. Turn left at the light where all Route 2 traffic goes left. At the next light, turn right onto Walden Street (Route 126 to Walden Pond is on the left). After about .5 mile, bear right at a fork, and continue following Walden Street toward Concord Center. Cross Heywood Street at the four-way stop sign. The Scout House is on the left about six buildings past Heywood Street, one block before Walden Street ends at Main Street in Concord Center.
If you are driving from I-495:
Take Exit 29A onto Route 2 East to Concord. After about 9 miles, carefully traverse the Concord traffic circle, remaining on Route 2 East. Continue past four traffic lights, then get into the left lane and turn left onto Walden Street at the fifth traffic light (Route 126 to Walden Pond is on the right). After about .5 mile, bear right at a fork, and continue following Walden Street toward Concord Center. Cross Heywood Street at the four-way stop sign. The Scout House is on the left about six buildings past Heywood Street, one block before Walden Street ends at Main Street in Concord Center.
If you are approaching Concord Center on Route 2A (Lexington Street) from the east:
At the Monument Square traffic circle, turn left onto Main Street as Route 2A and Route 62 merge. Take the next left onto Walden Street and go past the Post Office, Hubbard Street, and a large white church on the right. The Scout House is on the right, beside the church.
If you are approaching Concord Center on Route 2A (Elm Street) from the west:
After the stop sign where Route 2A merges with Route 62, which joins on the right, bear left onto Main Street and continue for .6 mile, past Concord Academy on the left and into downtown Concord. Turn right onto Walden Street and go past the Post Office, Hubbard Street, and a large white church on the right. The Scout House is on the right, beside the church.
