International Music Club’s workshop space in the parlor at Goddard House Assisted Living is located at 165 Chestnut Street near High Street in Brookline, MA. Free parking is available in the Goddard House lots and on the streets nearby.
If you are coming by public transportation:
Take the #60 bus for Chestnut Hill from Kenmore Square or Brookline Village on the Green Line. Get off at the stop near the intersection of High and Cypress Streets. Goddard House is straight ahead on Chestnut Street at the end of Cypress Street, about 5/8 mile from the Brookline Village station.
If you are driving from Routes 9 and 128 (I-95):
Get off Route 128 at Exit 20 onto Route 9 East. After about 5 miles you will pass the Chestnut Hill shopping area. Cross Hammond Street and go another 2.5 miles on 9 East to the Cypress Street traffic light. There is a Mobil station on the far left corner. Turn right onto Cypress Street and go 1/2 mile to the end. Goddard House will be directly in front of you. Turn right onto Chestnut Street and then immediately left into the driveway to the parking lot.
If you are driving from Storrow Drive:
Take the Kenmore Square exit and stay to the right on the ramp. At the traffic light, turn right onto Beacon Street and follow it into Kenmore Square, staying in the left lane. Bear left onto Brookline Avenue and go 1 1/2 miles to the end, passing Fenway Park and the hospital area. Turn right onto Route 9 (Boylston Street) and go about 3/4 mile to the third set of traffic lights, at Cypress Street. Turn left onto Cypress Street and go 1/2 mile to the end. Goddard House will be directly in front of you. Turn right onto Chestnut Street and then immediately left into the driveway to the parking lot.
If you are driving from points south:
Take the Jamaicaway (Route 1) north. Pass Jamaica Pond on your left, cross Perkins Street (no left turn allowed), and go to the next set of traffic lights, at Willow Pond Road. Turn left onto Willow Pond Road, go to the stop sign, then turn left onto Pond Avenue. Go to the end of Pond Avenue. At the rotary, turn right onto Chestnut Street. After Cypress Street comes in on the right, Goddard House is ahead on the left. Pass the building and turn left into the driveway to the parking lot.
