FAC’s dance space in the lower hall at First Parish of Watertown Unitarian Church is located at 35 Church Street near the corner of Summer Street, two blocks from Watertown Square, MA. Please don’t park in the church driveway; there is ample free parking in the lot to the left of the church behind Watertown Savings Bank and on the streets nearby.
If you are coming by public transportation from Harvard Square:
Take the #71 bus for Watertown Square via Mount Auburn Street. Shortly before Watertown Square, when you see the Dunkin’ Donuts sign ahead on the left, get off at the stop in front of Saint John’s United Methodist Church, across from Starbucks. Summer Street is ahead on the right, across from D’Angelo’s. Follow Summer Street for almost two blocks. Turn left into the parking lot behind Watertown Savings Bank; cross the lot and enter the church building by the side door at the left on the lower level. If you are driving through the Belmont Center area:
At Concord Avenue, take Common Street down to Cushing Square, across Trapelo Road, up and over the hill into Watertown. When the street levels out and Watertown High School is on your left, Spring Street forks off to the right at a triangular traffic island. Bear right onto Spring Street and go about five blocks till you reach a stop sign and Do Not Enter sign. Turn right onto Summer Street and go up the hill a short distance. You will see a traffic light ahead at Church Street, and Watertown Savings Bank on the near left corner. Shortly before the traffic light, turn left into the parking lot behind the bank. Enter the church building by the side door at the left on the lower level near the parking lot.
If you have approached Watertown Square from the west by Main Street (Route 20):
Turn left onto Church Street at the traffic light a block or so before the Square; there is a Sovereign Bank on the near left corner. First Parish of Watertown Church is almost one block up Church Street on the right, after the public parking lot. Pass the church, turn right at the light onto Summer Street, then turn right into the parking lot behind Watertown Savings Bank. Enter the church building by the side door at the left on the lower level near the parking lot. If you have approached Watertown Square from points south:
After you cross the bridge over the Charles River, get into one of the two left turn lanes in the Square, then turn left toward Waltham onto Route 20 (Main Street). Take the second right onto Church Street at the next light. There is a Sovereign Bank on the corner of Main and Church Streets. First Parish of Watertown Church is almost one block up Church Street on the right, after the public parking lot. Pass the church, turn right at the light onto Summer Street, then turn right into the parking lot behind Watertown Savings Bank. Enter the church building by the side door at the left on the lower level near the parking lot.
If you have approached Watertown Square from the east on Arsenal or North Beacon Streets:
Go through the Square onto Main Street (Route 20) and take the second right onto Church Street at the next light. There is a Sovereign Bank on the corner of Main and Church Streets. First Parish of Watertown Church is almost one block up Church Street on the right, after the public parking lot. Pass the church, turn right at the light onto Summer Street, then turn right into the parking lot behind Watertown Savings Bank. Enter the church building by the side door at the left on the lower level near the parking lot. If you have approached Watertown Square by Mount Auburn Street (Route 16):
Two blocks before the Square and shortly before Dunkin’ Donuts on the left, turn right onto Summer Street, across from D’Angelo’s. Go up Summer Street almost two blocks. You will see a traffic light ahead at Church Street, and Watertown Savings Bank on the near left corner. Shortly before the traffic light, turn left into the parking lot behind the bank. Enter the church building by the side door at the left on the lower level near the parking lot.
