The Folk Arts Center presents afternoon workshops in Galician singing and dance with instructor Pedro Senande. Galicia, an autonomous region with the status of Historic Nationality in northwestern Spain, is famous for its Celtic traditional music, which often features a capella singing with tambourines, as well as bagpipe and drum tunes. Galicia is also known for its fiestas, which include lively folk dancing.

The afternoon workshops are followed by FAC’s monthly Saturday party at the same location, 8–11 pm, featuring international folk dancing for all with music by Shining Moon.
