Beginners, experienced dancers, singles, couples, and groups are always welcome!
Marcie Van Cleave and guest teachers provide dynamic leadership for new and experienced dancers alike at FAC’s Friday folk dance. In a typical evening, several dances are taught or called, and most others can be followed by watching the leading dancers. It is not necessary to have previous dance experience or to attend with a partner. For more information about what happens at our Friday dances, see About folk dancing or call the FAC office at 781-438-4387.
Several times each year, the Friday dance series presents evenings with specific themes, such as Bulgarian, Croatian, French, or Romanian music and dancing for all, and the annual Chocolate Chip Bake-Off. This year, mark your calendar for Bulgarian Night on March 9; Romanian Night on May 4; and the Chocolate Chip Bake-Off on June 1!

Please help protect the hall’s wooden floor by changing to clean, soft-soled shoes before dancing. For the comfort and well-being of all our dancers, especially those with allergies or asthma, please do not wear perfume or fragranced personal products at our dances. Thank you!
