Folk Fusion:
Next Generation Music and Dance

American and international dancing for all

The third Folk Fusion:

Saturday, February 4, 2012, 7:30–11:30 pm

The Crosby Whistle Stop dance hall (directions),
24 Roland Street, Charlestown, Massachusetts
3 blocks from the Sullivan Square T station, about a 5-minute walk • free parking is available nearby


Admission $10 • Students $8

Beginners and experienced dancers of all ages, singles, couples, and groups are welcome!

FAC presents an evening of folk dancing, good music, and good times:
• international folk dancing with music by Blajini
(Yaron Shragai, Dan Salomon, Ariel Weinberg, Ben Pasamanick, Barry Shapiro);
• New England contra dancing with callers Tavi Merrill and Daniel Friedman and music by the Free Raisins
(Jeff Kaufmann, mandolin and octave fiddle; Amy Englesberg, piano; Audrey Knuth, fiddle);
and, for your listening and dancing enjoyment,
• Balkan-based world music by Bury Me Standing
(Vessela Stoyanova, MIDI marimba; Nate Greenslit, percussion; Tony Leva, upright bass; Burcu Gulec, vocals).

7:30 pm....The Free Raisins with Tavi Merrill
8:30 pm.... Blajini
9:30 pm.... The Free Raisins with Daniel Friedman
10:30 pm.... Bury Me Standing
