Concert 8-9 pm, featuring the FAC Septet, with guest violinist Emily Dahl
Folk dance party 9-11 pm, featuring Zdravets and The Pinewoods Band

Payson Park Congregational Church hall,
365 Belmont Street, Belmont, Massachusetts

Admission $20 • FAC members $18 • Students and seniors $10

The Folk Arts Center Benefit Bash has been an annual event since 1990. We start at 8 pm with a concert of traditional music in arrangements for classical ensembles, performed by many of the musicians who also play for FAC folk dance events throughout the year. At 9 pm, we put away the chairs and begin an international folk dance party, with live music, featuring dances accessible to all.

This year, we are pleased to showcase some of the talented younger members of our community who have been dancing with us since they were kids.

Featured soloist Emily Dahl is currently a senior at Rice University, and a violin virtuoso. She is the daughter of FAC Program Director Jo Crawford, and has been attending FAC events since she was old enough to walk!

Emily Troll is a freshman this fall at Wesleyan University, and an accomplished pianist, violinist, and dancer. Ben Bath, who will be a freshman next year at Bates College, is a concert ’cellist, as well as a singer and dancer.

The FAC Septet:

Ralph Iverson, violin
Ray Rosenstock, viola
Robert Penny, ’cello
Barbara Pixton, bass
Patrick Yacono, clarinet (and caval)
Elaine Winic, flute
Tom Pixton, conductor
