The Folk Arts Center Benefit Bash starts with a concert of original compositions and traditional music in arrangements for classical ensembles, performed by many of the musicians who play for other FAC events throughout the year. The program also features a performance by the young dancers of the ensemble Mladost. After the performances, the chairs are put away and an international folk dance party begins, with live music, featuring dances accessible to all.

Tom Pixton conducts his composition based on the 17th-century English folk tune “Juice of Barley.”

Many thanks to the performers who donated their services for the 2008 Benefit Bash, and to all who organized, staffed, and attended the event. Your support of FAC is greatly appreciated!

The 2009 FAC Benefit Bash flier will be available in August as a printable PDF.
