Friday dances

FAC’s weekly Friday night dances offer international folk dance instruction as well as request dancing for all levels of experience. Live music and guest teachers are often featured.

Thursday experienced-level dances

FAC’s weekly Thursday international folk dances offer mostly request dancing and limited teaching for dancers with previous experience.

“Fourth Saturday” dance parties

FAC’s monthly parties offer international folk dancing at both beginning and experienced levels and typically feature all-request programs and live music.  

Family Dances

Co-sponsored by NEFFA (New England Folk Festival Association) and FAC, this Sunday afternoon dance series features live music and supportive teaching to make folk dancing fun for all ages.

Folk Dancing by the Fountain

Funded by individual donations, businesses, and the City of Boston, FAC’s free outdoor dance series on June, July and August Tuesday nights offers basic folk dance instruction, often accompanied by live music, on the plaza beside the fountain in Boston’s Copley Square.
