Live musicLive music at folk dancing helps those participating to experience the community feeling of dances in their original cultures. With its surprises and variations, live music at its best is a collaboration between dancers and musicians, an interactive performance art that can immeasurably enrich an evening of dance. Many well-known musicians in the New England area specialize in international folk dance music, combining their proficiency on modern and native folk instruments with a keen understanding of many musical styles. FAC is privileged to have some of these musicians and groups providing music for our dances regularly or occasionally.
