AGM invitation

Dear Folk Arts Center Member(s):

You are invited to participate in the Folk Arts Center of New England’s Board of Directors’ election, Annual General Meeting (AGM), and FREE folk dance party. The AGM and party will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Payson Park Church Parish Hall in Belmont, MA.

The evening will begin with refreshments at 7:15. The AGM will start at 7:30, followed by request dancing for all with music by The Pinewoods Band. Reports on finances, programming topics of interest, and the general state of the organization, as well as where it’s heading in the future, will be presented at the meeting.

The FAC bylaws call for the yearly election of three Membership Representatives to the Board of Directors by the FAC membership. These representatives are elected for a term of one year, and are eligible for reelection. In addition, there are three Folk Leader Director positions and six Business/Professional Director positions, to which nominees are appointed by the Board of Directors for staggered three-year terms.
